Entrance: A short flight of steps leads down from High Street to a discreet private entrance.


Living area: A cathedral height window provides stunning estuary views from throughout the apartment. If necessary, full length ultrasuede curtains may be drawn against inclement weather.

   At one end of this open plan living space is a modern kitchen with a breakfast bar opening onto the lounge area and the furnished garden terrace.

   Two comfortable leather reclining swivel chairs with matching footstools can be turned to watch a wall-mounted TV/DVD, or to visit companionably. A side table of moulded Perspex sits between the chairs and a set of nested tables of the same material can be moved as guests desire.

   Two efficient electric radiators, thermostat controlled, ensure guest comfort throughout the year.


Dining area: A round glass dining table with three chairs provides a comfortable dining area.

   On the cathedral high wall behind the dining table is a large montage of canvas reprints of ten paintings by the Scillonian artist, Richard Pearce, whose works are exhibited in collections world-wide.

   On the opposite wall are two decorative mirrors which extend the view over Carrick Roads and the docks in interesting perspectives.


Desk area: In the corner of the room is a small wall-mounted writing table/ computer desk with a stool. The desk easily holds a laptop computer, which can be connected to Puffins' excellent internet through WiFi or a LAN cable.

   A portable telephone with answe-ring machine sits on the desk and can be used for free landline calls by guests throughout the UK. A travel Scrabble set, some playing cards, and a case with a selection of DVD movies may be found on the shelves beneath the desk.


Cleaning cupboard: There's a cleaning cupboard below the stairs with space for luggage storage and a supply of spare light bulbs and batteries. A small space heater for auxiliary heat in extremely cold weather, and a parasol for very warm weather, are stored here.


Kitchen Area: The kitchen is well-equipped and well-lit with effective use of space and an excellent extraction fan.

   Appliances include an integrated dishwasher, a fridge/freezer, a four-ring ceramic hob, a combination convection oven/microwave, and an espresso coffee maker, a toaster and an electric kettle

   An arched opening and breakfast counter communicate with the living area.

Mezzanine Bedroom: The bedroom is furnished with a king size divan bed, bespoke cabinetry, reading lamps and stunning water views. As floor area is limited, the bed is tucked into the cabinetry, which serves as a good headboard and bedside table. However, the bed can easily be rolled out on the lockable castors for ease in making the bed, or if access from both sides is desired.


   On or above the cabinetry are a second wall-mounted TV/DVD, a clock radio with an iPod/iPhone dock, reading lamps and a second telephone unit.   If needed for temperature control, there is wall-mounted Dimplex heater, and a small cooling fan.


Cupboards: There are two cupboards for clothes storage, one of which contains a washer/dryer, an ironing board and an iron.


Shower room: The shower room is fitted with a glass shower stall with electric shower, a low flow wc, corner wash basin, a heated towel rail, a Dimplex heater, and a shaver outlet.

   A tiled ledge close to the mirror provides an easy place to apply make-up.

   A hair dryer and bathroom scales are stored in the cabinet beneath the basin, as are cleaning supplies.


Terrace: The sizable terrace opens from the living area via double glazed french doors. There's wooden decking within a low-walled balustrade, and plants in pots and baskets.

   The terrace is furnished with a glass table with four chairs, which can support the parasol stored under the stairs if needed.


Parking: Parking for one car is easily accessed in a secured garage within 20 metres of the apartment.
